Can you support us this December by completing a Reverse Advent Calendar?
What is Reverse Advent Calendar?
Each day you put a present, in the form of a food item, in a box and at the end of the month you donate the box of goodies to Rainbow Centre so we can use these in our Foodbank and Pantry services to help people in right here in our community. We have even made the Calendar for you so you know what items are needed – what could be easier!
Why are these not Christmas items?
We run our Revese Advent Calendar for two months each year. In November we ask people for Christmas related items, which are delivered to us in early December and we can get these to people in time for Christmas.
In December we have a different calendar of items so this can be done during Advent and will be delivered to us in January. Unfortunately people struggle to purchase food all year round and for families providing even a small selection of presents for their children, January can be a particularly hard month so our support is vital.
Last year, during our Reverse Advent Calendar in November and December, with your help, we fed 1721 people (adults and children).
Where to donate your items
Goods can be donated at one of our usual collection points or you can call our Warehouse to arrange a convenient drop-off time on 07813 726498.
