The Rainbow Centre relies on fundraising and donations from individuals, community groups and businesses and the Shop income to fund our services. We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated team player to join our Charity Shop, working within a supportive and committed team of volunteers, where everyone is proud to be a member of the Rainbow Centre family.
The Assistant Charity Shop Manager will deputise for the Shop Manager and be responsible for maximising sales through ensuring the shop is managed effectively and efficiently. They will report to the Shop Manager and they will be accountable for the day to day store operations, ensuring a safe and secure environment is maintained at all times and that the Shop has sufficient volunteers to open 6 days of the week. They will be responsible for the managing of the volunteers, doing the weekly rota and working closely with the Volunteer Development Officer to help recruit new volunteers.

Tenancy Sustainment Coordinator
for a three-year fixed-term funded post
Salary: £21,500 per annum pro rata for 30 hrs per week

The Folkestone Rainbow Centre is a Christian charity supporting people facing hardships and deprivation in the Folkestone and Hythe district.

We are seeking a Tenancy Sustainment Coordinator with a passion for working with those who are currently homeless, or are at risk of becoming homeless. The aim of the Tenancy Sustainment Coordinator role is to engage with rough sleepers and those who are vulnerably housed or at risk of eviction and facilitate solutions to their presenting issues. The Coordinator will provide advice and guidance to clients, helping them access housing opportunities and other necessary support.

The post holder will also be responsible for coordinating the Winter Shelter service, a flagship partnership project with Churches Together in Folkestone, leading the delivery of the Shelter with volunteers and befrienders. Working alongside the Homeless Support Service Manager, this involves mentoring and supporting volunteers to coordinate and deliver services within our established Homeless Support Service and Winter Shelter. They will also work in the Homeless Support team in planning and developing new initiatives to enhance our offer to those in need.

We are seeking a part-time Homeless Support Service Officer with a passion for working with those who are currently homeless, or are at risk of becoming homeless. The post holder will be responsible for working alongside the Homeless Support Service Manager to co-ordinate and deliver services within our established Homeless Support Service and Winter Shelter. They will also work in the Homeless Support Service team in planning and developing new initiatives to enhance our offer to those in need.
