Homeless Support Service
The Rainbow Centre is committed to supporting people from Shepway who find themselves either homeless or at risk of becoming so. The Centre’s commitment is based out of a Christian response to social injustice.
How can we help?
We know it can take a great deal of courage to seek help, but we are passionate about responding to the crisis of homelessness and providing practical support for anyone who is homeless in Shepway.
We can help you if you are:
- Rough sleeping
- Sofa surfing
- Placed by Folkestone and Hythe District Council in emergency Bed and Breakfast accommodation
- At risk of eviction
We work closely with various partner agencies such as Folkestone and Hythe District Council and Porchlight to tackle homelessness locally. If you find yourself homeless we can put you in touch with organisations that provide routes into accommodation and we will also advocate for you in this process.
We also assist with the practicalities of managing life on the streets by offering showers, laundry facilities and a postal address as well as emergency food provision. Once a week, people are able to come into the Rainbow Club, a safe social environment offering refreshments, activities and company.
We are here to support and advise you.
